Top 5 Arabic Listening Resources for Beginners

Listening to Arabic is a sure-fire way to improve your comprehension.

When I feel l like studying Arabic but don’t want to crack open a book, I open up YouTube instead. What I’m looking for is a video in which I understand a lot of the words but not all. It’s in the unknown words that I give that room for my vocabulary and sentence structure to grow.

So when my students come to me asking for Arabic listening resources, I’ve got so many favourite YouTube channels and resources up my sleeve. Listening to Arabic is an amazing way to improve and it’s entertaining too. Television series (musalsalaat) are an obvious pick and, while we have included some of these here, we’ve largely focused on resources that are accessible to those at a beginner’s level.
