3 Intermediate Arabic Stories We Love

Stories stick in the mind. They catch your attention, draw you in and unlock the most important ingredient for learning anything new: curiosity.
Arabic students don't exactly have it easy when it comes to studying their target language through stories. As a beginner, I remember speeding through very basic and boring writing and then suddenly being faced with beautifully elaborate but impossibly unintelligible excerpts from dense Arabic texts. It was like being taken from the shallow end of the pool and thrown into the middle of the sea without a life-jacket.
This lies behind my ongoing quest for a solid collection of intermediate Arabic stories. They do exist. Whenever I find such a story, I always archive it in my special collection. I thought I'd share three titles that I consider to be uniquely intermediate:
